The weekly thrifty budget is just about on target for us, if I stay with our planned meals for the week.Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13487456316176375454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4018776856305219620.post-79471341920282407342013-01-21T22:12:33.569-05:002013-01-21T22:12:33.569-05:00For what it's worth, apparently a couple in ou...For what it's worth, apparently a couple in our age bracket spending $375/month on groceries is considered the "thrifty" plan according to the most recent data from the USDA: http://www.cnpp.usda.gov/Publications/FoodPlans/2012/CostofFoodNov2012.pdf

So in the grand scheme of things, you guys aren't doing too badly in the grocery department. ;-) But I totally get it. Our official grocery budget is $280/month, and realistically we average around $315, which is still $60/month below the thrifty plan. I don't know what the heck these "low-cost" couples are spending their money on that costs almost $500, either, because we eat really well on our extra-thrifty budget!Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15010899773028369679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4018776856305219620.post-11302613725599275572013-01-18T13:24:59.776-05:002013-01-18T13:24:59.776-05:00I love that you found a way to include our favorit...I love that you found a way to include our favorite movie to quote into this fab post! <3Annie T.https://www.blogger.com/profile/11513084615115543465noreply@blogger.com
